  1. o Kasey, I absolutely love this book. It is one of my favorites and I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to read it. I am also looking forward to doing a literature circle on this book in my classroom.

One activity I would include would be for students to make a diorama of their favorite scene from the book. Have the students explain their diorama to the class. Then display the dioramas around the classroom for the week.

Another fun activity would be to have the students design a poster or commercial that advertises the book. Have them show their advertisement to the class and have the students decide if they would read the book based on the advertisement.

One other activity would be to have students within a literature circle sign up to be one of the characters and then write letters back and forth to another student based on things they are learning from the book.

Great blog! I found some books that I have added to my "to buy" list for my classroom. I really enjoyed reading some of the reviews you did.
